Haiti Disaster Relief
The devastating January 12 earthquake in Haiti has left the most impoverished country in the western hemisphere with catastrophic aftermath. Hundreds of thousands are dead or injured. In a country that already had a serious orphan crisis, countless more children have been left orphaned, hungry, injured, and homeless.

Thanks to the generosity of our contributors, Medical Mission International is helping to relieve the suffering of thousands of earthquake victims in Haiti. Our MMI sponsored teams began working the very day of the disaster to reach those who were most affected. Our relief team members immediately assessed the areas of greatest need, such as water, shelter, sanitation and disease prevention. MMI is delivering over 5 million euros worth of much needed medical and relief supplies to the areas hardest hit by the earthquake.
Concentration is now on providing life saving items like shelter kits and blankets as well as medical supplies and hygiene kits. MMI’s medical teams are mobilising to perform emergency surgeries as well as planning for long-term medical intervention to ensure the prevention of disease outbreaks. Humanitarian aid and assistance are still desperately needed to relieve the suffering of tens of thousands of children and their families. Without the ongoing financial support of our compassionate contributors, the vital lifesaving rescue teams and relief would not be able to continue.
